讀經一（我是你的救主，以色列的聖者。）
恭讀依撒意亞先知書 41:13-20
上主，你的天主，提攜著你的右手，向你說過：「不要害怕，有我協助你。」雅各伯蟲豸啊！以色列蛆蟲啊！不要害怕，我必協助你，你的救主是以色列的聖者。
看啊，我使你成爲一架鋒利多齒的新打禾機，叫你壓榨高山，壓得粉碎，使丘陵變爲碎末。你要簸揚它們，風必將它們捲去，暴風必吹散它們；然而你要因上主而喜樂，因以色列的聖者而誇耀。貧困和窮苦的人，若找水而無所獲，他們的舌頭渴得焦燥，我上主必俯允他們，我，以色列的天主必不棄捨他們。
我要在禿山上開闢河流，在空穀中噴出泉源；我要使沙漠變爲池沼，使乾地化爲噴泉。我要在沙漠中種植香柏木、皂夾、桃金娘和橄欖樹；在荒野中要把柏樹、榆樹和雲杉樹一起栽植起來；爲使人們看見，知道，同時因深思而瞭解：這是上主的手所做的，是以色列的聖者所創造的。——上主的話。

【答】：上主慈悲爲懷，寬宏大方，緩於發怒，仁愛無量。
領：我的天主，君王，我要頌揚你，歌頌你的名，世世代代不止。上主對待萬有，溫和善良，對他的受造物，仁愛慈祥。【答】

恭讀聖瑪竇福音 11:11-15
那時候，耶穌對群眾說：「我實在告訴你們：在婦女所生者中，沒有興起一位比洗者若翰更大的；但在天國裏最小的，也比他大。由洗者若翰的日子直到如今，天國是以猛力去奪取的，以猛力奪取的人，就攫取了它，因爲眾先知和法律講說預言，直到若翰爲止。若是你們願意接受，他就是那位要來的厄里亞。有耳的，聽吧！」——上主的話。
反省
「猛力」也可譯為「強力」或「暴力」。耶穌在此並非說基督徒需要使用暴力，而是說基督徒會承受暴力，因為總有敵對者以暴力對待基督徒，就像黑落德對待若翰那樣。面對施於我們的暴力，我們需要以同等力量的勇力和耐力來承擔。正是在這種意義上，我們需要以猛力奪得天國。當然，我們未必會遭到迫害，或有機會殉道，但我們每天都有可能面對各種與福音敵對的勢力，比如出於我們人性傾向的誘惑。對此，我們需要奮力抵抗，才能戰勝。所以，讓我們求主賜給我們奪得天國所需要的勇毅和力量。（「我靈讚頌主 iBreviarium」── 樂仁出版社供稿）

I am the LORD, your God, who grasp your right hand; It is I who say to you, “Fear not, I will help you.” Fear not, O worm Jacob, O maggot Israel; I will help you, says the LORD; your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. I will make of you a threshing sledge, sharp, new, and double-edged, To thresh the mountains and crush them, to make the hills like chaff. When you winnow them, the wind shall carry them off and the storm shall scatter them. But you shall rejoice in the LORD, and glory in the Holy One of Israel. Gospel MT 11:11-15
Jesus said to the crowds: “Amen, I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent are taking it by force. All the prophets and the law prophesied up to the time of John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah, the one who is to come. Whoever has ears ought to hear.”

12.10（四）活出天國 瑪竇福音十一11-15
那時候，耶穌對群眾說：

由洗者若翰的日子直到如今，天國是以猛力奪取的，以猛力奪取的人，就攫取了它，因為眾先知和法律講說預言，直到若翰為止。

「天國是以猛力奪取的」。今天讓我們默想天國遭受許多暴行，有許多殘暴的人想用暴力奪取天國。這個天國可以說是天主原本創造的美好世界，每個人都是美善的，都是天主的愛子、愛女，是祂所喜悅的。然而，人類心中的美善被邪惡奪走，天國的美好逐漸瓦解，或更好的說，被掩蓋過去，無法發揮它的力量了。
想一想，當我們沉溺在驕傲、慾望、權力、嫉妒、競爭、色情、冷漠、無感中，我們難道不是在對天國施行暴力，身旁的人也被我們的暴力影響。
今天耶穌提醒我們，在天國中與生俱來的身分就是天父的愛子、愛女：「婦女所生的人當中，洗者若翰是最大的，但是在天國中，最小的都比他還要大。」天主兒女是我們尊貴身分，我們也是天主聖三的神聖宮殿(格前三17)，是美好的天國。
因此，當我們受到天主聖三愛的指引，活出祂愛的召叫時，我們就活出了天國。反之，當我們不願意受到帶領，用邪惡的暴力來生活時，我們的美好天國被無情的瓦解。
試問你有哪些暴力的思言行爲常常損傷了天國的氣氛？
讓我們向若翰學習，因為他活出了他的身分及價值。他清楚接受自己的使命，一生為主耶穌開路，沒有抱怨、沒有比較，因此成了天國光明的見證。
讓我們自身先活出天主子女的價值，意識到天主聖三以及祂們的美善在我們內，最後將美好的天國分享給身旁的每個人。

默想天國遭受許多暴行。你有選擇增添暴力或平息它。
(活出聖言)
在今天意識到自己的身分，並以天主子女真正的美善維護天國。
(全心祈禱)

12月10日 和平的國度
所有的受造物都在造物主的臂膀下。末後的一幕，不僅所有的人體認到他們要像弟兄姐妹和諧共融，天主的受造界中其他成員也要如此。耶穌基督降世，實現了先知的異象，遠在耶穌出生前，依撒意亞先知看見了那異象：
豺狼將與羔羊共處，虎豹將與小山羊同宿；
牛犢和幼獅一同飼養，一個幼童即可帶領它們。
母牛和母熊將一起牧放，它們的幼雛將一同伏臥；
獅子將與牛一樣吃草。
吃奶的嬰兒將遊戲於蝮蛇的洞口，
斷奶的幼童將伸手探入毒蛇的窩穴。
在我的整個聖山上，再沒有誰作惡，也沒有誰害人，
因為大地充滿了對上主的認識，有如海洋滿溢海水。 （依11：6-9）
