讀經一(我將你們所敬拜而不認識的神,傳告給你們。)
恭讀宗徒大事錄 17:15,22-18:1
送保祿的人領他一直到了雅典;他們領了保祿的命令,叫息拉和弟茂德趕快來到他那裏,以後就走了。
保祿遂即站在阿勒約帕哥當中說:「眾位雅典人,我看你們在各方面都更敬畏神明,因為我行經各處,細看你們所敬之物,也見到一座祭壇,上面寫著「給未識之神」。現在,我就將你們所敬拜而不認識的這位,傳告給你們。創造宇宙及其中萬物的天主,既是天地的主宰,就不住人手所建的殿宇,也不受人手的侍候,好像需要什麼似的,而是他將生命、呼吸和一切賞給了眾人。他由一個人造了全人類,使他們住在全地面上,給他們立定了年限,和他們所居處的疆界;如他們尋求天主,或者可以摸索而找到他;其實,他離我們每人並不遠,因為我們生活、行動、存在,都在他內,正如你們的某些詩人說的:「原來我們也是他的子孫。」我們既是天主的子孫,就不該想:神就像由人的藝術及思想所制的金銀石刻的東西一樣。天主對那愚昧無知的時代,原不深究;如今卻傳諭各處的人都要悔改,因為他已定了一個日期,要由他所立定的人按正義審判天下,他為給眾人一個可信的憑據,就叫這人從死者中復活了。」
他們一聽見死人復活,有的譏笑,有的卻說:「關於這事,我們後來再聽你吧!」這樣,保祿便從他們當中出去了。可是,也有幾個人依附保祿而信從了,其中有阿勒約帕哥的官員狄約尼削,和一個名叫達瑪黎的婦人;同他們一起信從的,還有其他一些人。此後,保祿就離開雅典,來到了格林多。——上主的話。

恭讀聖若望福音 16:12-15
那時候,耶穌對門徒說:「我本來還有許多事要告訴你們,然而你們現在不能擔負。當那一位真理之神來時,他要把你們引入一切真理,因為他不憑自己講論,只把他所聽到的講出來,並把未來的事傳告給你們。他要光榮我,因為他要把由我所領受的,傳告給你們。凡父所有的一切,都是我的;為此我說:他要由我領受而傳告給你們。」——上主的話。
釋義
耶穌是天主的聖言、天主的真理。但是門徒尚沒有能力領悟一切真理。耶穌所說的「一切真理」並不是某個理論、某個系統,而是他所體現的天主啟示。「光榮」耶穌的意思就是使人看見他得自天主的派遣,完成他的工程。聖神並不帶來任何新的福音,也並非只是使門徒們「想起」耶穌所說所做的一切(若十四26)。這個「想起」是越來越深地「引領他們進入」(13)天主內在的聖所。藉著聖神,耶穌將清楚地講述天主(參閱:十六13、15、25)。啟示並沒有隨著耶穌的離去而結束,聖神降臨也不是在五旬節上午九點鐘就結束。這只是「開始」!
反省
在信經中,我們宣認「我信聖神」。這是說:我們相信聖神一直引導教會,走過塵世的曠野,進入天國的永福。就如梅瑟在曠野中引導以色列民前行,其實真正引導以色列民前行的是天主自己。天主通過雲柱和火柱指示以色列的領導人當走的時辰與方向,他們只需一路順服。同樣,真正引導教會前行的,也不是神職人員,而是神職人員所順服的天主聖神。如此,整個教會形成一個身體,此身體的靈魂就是天主聖神。基督徒在天主聖神內同屬基督元首,並分享祂的生命與恩典,同時也蒙召將這生命與恩典通傳給世人。那麼,我該如何回應這一召叫?(「我靈讚頌主 iBreviarium」── 樂仁出版社供稿)

After Paul’s escorts had taken him to Athens, they came away with instructions for Silas and Timothy to join him as soon as possible. Then Paul stood up at the Areopagus and said: “You Athenians, I see that in every respect you are very religious. For as I walked around looking carefully at your shrines, I even discovered an altar inscribed, ‘To an Unknown God.’ What therefore you unknowingly worship, I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and all that is in it, the Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in sanctuaries made by human hands, nor is he served by human hands because he needs anything. Rather it is he who gives to everyone life and breath and everything. He made from one the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions, so that people might seek God, even perhaps grope for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from any one of us. For ‘In him we live and move and have our being,’ as even some of your poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’ Since therefore we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the divinity is like an image fashioned from gold, silver, or stone by human art and imagination. God has overlooked the times of ignorance, but now he demands that all people everywhere repent because he has established a day on which he will ‘judge the world with justice’ through a man he has appointed, and he has provided confirmation for all by raising him from the dead.” When they heard about resurrection of the dead, some began to scoff, but others said, “We should like to hear you on this some other time.” And so Paul left them. But some did join him, and became believers. Among them were Dionysius, a member of the Court of the Areopagus, a woman named Damaris, and others with them. 5月12日聖人 聖聶勒、聖亞基略、聖女多彌諦拉(SS. Nereus, Achilleus and Domitilla)

對這三位聖人的敬禮是很古老的,可以回溯到四世紀。
聖女多彌諦拉出身羅馬的皇族,與多密喜安皇帝有親戚關係。為了信仰基督,被放逐到朋西亞島。
大聖額我略曾經說:「我們敬禮這三位聖人,因為他們生前輕視世俗,把世俗榮華富貴踏在腳下。」他這是在聖多彌諦拉墓上建起的聖堂中說的。
聶勒、亞基略二人是多密喜安皇帝手下的衛士。為了生活關係,作暴君的鷹犬。人們傳說他們兩個受了宮刑,以便操持多彌諦拉的家務,因而同享了放逐的辛苦。聖業樂說:「他們充軍是一種漫長的殉難。」有一天,他們突然受到聖寵的光照,放下武器,皈依天主教,被官兵逮捕。他們坦認信奉基督,被放逐到朋西亞島,在圖拉真執政的時期斬首致命。
聖女因拒絕朝拜邪神,也在朋西亞島上遇難,被烈火焚死。
聖龐加爵(St. Pancras)殉道
聖龐加爵,一般被認為原籍小亞細亞的弗里家的孤兒,他在刀克里先發動教難時被捕,年僅十四歲。他堅決拒絕向邪神獻祭,被斬首致命。時在二七五年與三O四年之間。遺體葬在加里波的公墓。為了紀念他,聖奧思定在坎特伯留建造了一座聖堂、大聖額我略教宗還特別為本篤會修士們建造了一座修院,以他命名。

05.12 (三) 成長的機會 聖迺仁與聖齋禮殉道 若望福音十六12-15
聆聽聖言
那時候,耶穌對門徒們說:
「我還有許多事要告訴你們,然而你們現在不能擔負。當那一位真理之神來時,祂要把你們引入一切真理,因為祂不憑自己講論,只把祂所聽到的講出來,並把未來的事傳告你們。
祂要光榮我,因為祂要把由我所領受的,傳告給你們。凡父所有的一切,都是我的;為此我說:祂要由我領受而傳告給你們。」

在今天的福音中,耶穌對門徒說:「我還有許多事要告訴你們,然而你們現在不能擔負。」試著去感受,如果有人對你這麼説時,你當下會有什麼樣的感覺?也許你會感到氣惱,抱怨那人怎麼這麽不看好你?或許你會有感傷,懷疑自己的能力,並萌起放棄的念頭?還是你會不服氣,更想積極證明你可以擔負?如果這是你的態度,你可能已把這句話聼為是對自己一個不好的評定、是對自己不利的。但是,事情真是這樣嗎?今天耶穌邀請我們超越自己第一時間的反應,而去接收別人背後的肯定以及成長的邀請。耶穌說:「我還有許多事要告訴你們,然而你們現在不能擔負。」在這裏我們可以把重點放在「你們現在不能擔負」。耶穌是個好老師,祂理解人的學習與成長本來就是一個過程。承認我們還不明白不代表我們不夠好或沒有能力懂,而是接納自己目前的能力有限。遇到門徒的限度,耶穌沒有責備,反而鼓勵人們說:「真理之神來時,祂要把你們引入一切真理。」耶穌相信只要他們願意進步、願意成長,謙卑地在生活中看似不到位的地方學習,慢慢的,我們也會越來越明白人生以及天主的真理,也能在生命中擔負。也許,今天我們可以回顧自己的生命。有哪些你目前能體悟的真理是二十年前你無法明白的?其實,耶穌在那時已經看到你所需要的過程,也相信你會成長了!

去細細品嘗耶穌的溫暖。祂接納你目前的狀態,但也相信你的可能。
活出聖言
細數自己在生活及信仰中的成長過程,讓自己更渴望繼續成長。

耶穌,感謝祢教我耐心看待人性的有限並接受各種成長的機會。阿們。
