讀經一(他們藉著信德征服列國,天主為我們早已預備了一種更好的事。)

恭讀致希伯來人書 11:32-40

我還要說什麼呢?我的確沒有足夠的時間再論述基德紅、巴辣克、三松、依弗大、達味和撒慕爾以及眾先知的事:他們藉著信德征服列國,執行正義,得到恩許,杜住獅子的口,熄滅烈火的威力,逃脫利劍,轉弱為強,成為戰爭中的英雄,擊潰外國的軍隊。有些女人得了她們的死者復活,有些人受了酷刑拷打,不願接受釋放,為獲得更好的復活;另有些人遭受了凌辱和鞭打,甚至鎖押和監禁,被石頭砸死,被鋸死,被拷問,被利劍殺死,披著綿羊或山羊皮到處流浪,受貧乏,受磨難,受虐待。世界原配不上他們,他們遂在曠野、山嶺、山洞和地穴中漂流無定。

這一切人雖然因著信德獲得了褒揚,但是沒有獲得所恩許的,因為天主為我們早已預備了一種更好的事,以致若沒有我們,他們決得不到成全。——上主的話。

答唱詠 詠31:20,21,22,23,24

【答】:信賴上主的人,你們的心靈必得安慰。

領:上主,你為敬畏你的人所保留的恩澤,是何等豐盛!你在人前施予投奔於你者的慈惠,又是何等寬宏!【答】

領:你將他們掩護在你儀容的影下,免遭世人的重創;又將他們隱藏在你帳幕的裏面,免遭口舌的中傷。【答】

領:願上主受讚美,因為他在堅固的城內,向我特別顯出他那奇妙無比的慈愛。【答】

領:我雖在惶恐中曾說:「我已被驅逐離開你前。」但我一呼求你,你即刻俯允我的呼聲哀嘆。【答】

領:眾聖徒!你們應愛慕上主,因他保祐信徒,但是他對蠻橫的人,必加以嚴厲的報復。【答】

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音 5:1-20

耶穌和他的門徒來到了海的對岸革辣撒人的地方。耶穌一下船,即刻有一個附邪魔的人,從墳墓裏出來,迎著他走來。原來那人居住在墳墓裏,再沒有人能捆住他,就是用鎖鏈也不能,因為人屢次用腳鐐和鎖鏈將他捆縛,他卻將鎖鏈掙斷,將腳鐐弄碎,沒有人能制服他。他晝夜在墳墓裏或山陵中喊叫,用石頭擊傷自已。他從遠處望見了耶穌,就跑來,跪在他前,大聲喊說:「至高天主之子耶穌,我與你有什麼相干?我因著天主誓求你,不要苦害我!」因為耶穌曾向他說:「邪魔,從這人身上出去!」耶穌問他說:「你名叫什麼?」他回答說:「我名叫『軍旅』,因為我們眾多。」他再三懇求耶穌,不要驅逐他們離開此地。那時,在那邊山坡上,有一大群豬正在牧放。他們懇求耶穌說:「請打發我們到那豬群,好讓我們進入牠們內。」耶穌准許了他們;邪魔就出來,進入了豬內。那群豬約有二千,便從山崖上直衝到海裏,在海裏淹死了。放豬的人就逃走,到城裏和鄉間傳報開了;人都出來看是發生了什麼事。他們來到耶穌跟前,看見那個附魔的人,即為「軍旅」所附的人,坐在那裏,穿著衣服,神志清醒,就害怕起來。看見的人就把附魔的人所遇到的事,和那豬群的事,都給他們述說了。他們便請求耶穌離開他們的境界。當耶穌上船時,那曾附過魔的人,懇求耶穌讓他同耶穌在一起。耶穌沒有允許他,但對他說:「你回家,到你的親屬那裏,對他們傳述上主為你作了何等大事,怎樣憐憫了你。」那人就走了,在十城區開始傳揚耶穌為他所作的何等大事,眾人都驚奇不已。——上主的話。

反省

那喧嚷喊叫,甚至用石頭砸自己的附魔者,被理解為失去常性;其實他呐喊,是因為在他內有兩股力量控制他:外來的邪魔和內在屬於人的本性,互相爭持,致使他倍感痛苦;他在呼叫吶喊,希望有人能聽到他的聲音,幫助他脫離困境;但旁人卻把他捆綁起來,至是要他安靜。他呼救,他祈求,向那位在他靈魂深處,賜予他生命的主,賦予他肖像的天主吶喊,因為他相信祂定能讓他走出困局。的確,遠在彼岸的耶穌聽到他靈魂深處的吶喊,憐憫他,使他脫離了邪魔的糾纏,神志清醒,回歸他為天主肖像的本來面目,更成為喜訊的見證人。(「我靈讚頌主 iBreviarium」── 樂仁出版社供稿)

Monday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time Lectionary: 323 Reading I Heb 11:32-40

Brothers and sisters: What more shall I say? I have not time to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets, who by faith conquered kingdoms, did what was righteous, obtained the promises; they closed the mouths of lions, put out raging fires, escaped the devouring sword; out of weakness they were made powerful, became strong in battle, and turned back foreign invaders. Women received back their dead through resurrection. Some were tortured and would not accept deliverance, in order to obtain a better resurrection. Others endured mockery, scourging, even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, sawed in two, put to death at sword’s point; they went about in skins of sheep or goats, needy, afflicted, tormented. The world was not worthy of them. They wandered about in deserts and on mountains, in caves and in crevices in the earth. Yet all these, though approved because of their faith, did not receive what had been promised. God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect.

Gospel Mk 5:1-20

Jesus and his disciples came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes. When he got out of the boat, at once a man from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met him. The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain. In fact, he had frequently been bound with shackles and chains, but the chains had been pulled apart by him and the shackles smashed, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the hillsides he was always crying out and bruising himself with stones. Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and prostrated himself before him, crying out in a loud voice, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me!” (He had been saying to him, “Unclean spirit, come out of the man!”) He asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “Legion is my name. There are many of us.” And he pleaded earnestly with him not to drive them away from that territory. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there on the hillside. And they pleaded with him, “Send us into the swine. Let us enter them.” And he let them, and the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned. The swineherds ran away and reported the incident in the town and throughout the countryside. And people came out to see what had happened. As they approached Jesus, they caught sight of the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. And they were seized with fear. Those who witnessed the incident explained to them what had happened to the possessed man and to the swine. Then they began to beg him to leave their district. As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with him. But Jesus would not permit him but told him instead, “Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.” Then the man went off and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed.

聖女彼利其特是愛爾蘭最負盛名的聖人之一,與聖巴特利爵同稱為愛爾蘭教會的柱石。聖女幼時,父親派她往農場搬運牛油。聖女將她的牛油全部送給窮人,空手回家。但到了家裡,揭開布囊,牛油原封不動在內。到適婚之年,父母打算為她擇偶。聖女在堂內,當著主教面前,宣誓守貞,她的手恰巧擱在教堂木柱上;這根木柱,從該時起,至今保持青翠的色澤。一千五百年來,始終不變色,恍如新近砍下的樹木一般,堪稱奇蹟。

聖女見父母強迫她出嫁,求主賜她容貎化妍為醜,果然不久,她的一隻眼珠爆裂。父母見她志不可奪,於是答允她出家修道。她所顯的神蹟多不勝數。她把一桶啤酒供應十八個教堂:自建定聖體瞻禮起在全部復活季節內,桶內啤酒,取用不竭。一個痳瘋女子向她求施牛乳,聖女因無牛乳,就給她一些清水,清水當場變成牛乳,痳瘋女喝了,霍然痊癒。聖女某日不慎撞破頭部,傷口有鮮血流出,這血滴在兩個啞婦身上,她們頓時會開口說話。

某日,聖女與一位同院修女談述耶穌的聖愛與天國的福樂。這位修女自幼雙目失明,大家談得很是興奮,通宵達旦,不知東方之既白,聖女抬頭,見旭日東升,毫光萬道,不禁喟然嘆息她的同伴無福享受這些大自然的美景。她就俯首祈禱,一轉眼間,那同伴突見美麗的曉日,萬紫千紅的花卉,都映入她的眼簾,她不禁呆得目瞪口張。過了一會兒,她鎮靜地對聖女說:「敬愛的院長,請你賜我雙目如前一樣失明,因為我的肉眼看見了幻虛的塵世,我的神目就不能像以前一樣清楚認識天主的美善了。」聖女再俯首默禱,那修女的雙目又失明了。

在聖女居住的修院內,有一堆火始終焚燒著;一般稱為「彼利其特之火。」那並不是說,這堆火是不可能熄滅的,那是因為院內修女,為了紀念聖女起見,日夜小心加添木柴,不讓這堆火熄滅。所以從聖女逝世時起,「彼利其特之火」一連數百年,從未熄滅。聖女在世時,院內共有二十位修女,每人一日輪流擔任加添木柴。自聖女逝世時起,她的職位虛懸,未選他人填補,只有十九位修女照料「彼利其特之火」;每次第十九位修女加好了木柴,她循例說道:「彼利其特,今夜輪到你了,你自己照料這堆火吧。」所以第二十夜,這堆火是沒有人照料的。但到了第三天早晨,仍是熊熊蓬勃。這段生動的軼事,至今為人津津樂道。聖女約於五二五年離世升天。

2.1(一)耶穌能釋放你 馬爾谷福音五1-20

今天的福音讓我們看到一個附邪魔的人被耶穌釋放了。這福音讓我們看到,當下我們可能也在面對許多讓我們不自由的狀況,很需要我們依靠天主的愛來治癒和釋放我們。

我們可以從被附魔的人的三個方面反省我們的生活。

第一,這個人單獨生活在墳墓裏,就是死亡中。也許你的心因爲遇到某種困難而悲傷痛苦,也許你正因某種因素不想與其他人靠近,寧願選擇孤單。

第二,他被邪魔控制。被統治的經歷非常普遍。有時我們的憤怒、驕傲、沮喪,嫉妒、怨恨、野心、過勞、完美主義的情緒和心態控制了我們,使我們失去了生活的樂趣,無法欣賞我們擁有的一切。這給我們帶來了沉重的負擔,拉遠我們和他人的距離。

第三,這人不停傷害自己。傷害自己是前兩個方面的後果,因為當我們沒有積極的對前兩者做出對抗時,我們便會淪落到傷害自己的後果。我們無法享受生活,也無法享受與自己、他人及天主的親密關係。但福音中,我們看到,耶穌對這附魔的人動了憐憫的心,是祂有能力釋放、治癒、幫助他。

今天,若我們在反省中發現並承認我們在哪些地方需要被耶穌釋放,就讓我們乞求耶穌靠近我們,用祂的愛、祂的聖言來治癒我們,並讓我們意識到,透過祈禱,透過接觸耶穌的愛和真理,我們可以一點一點的被釋放、被治癒。

耶穌要對你説出那能夠釋放你的心、讓你真正自由的話。

(活出聖言)

選擇不要盲目過日子。每天反省生活,並求耶穌釋放你不自由的地方。

(全心祈禱)

主耶穌,我相信只要祢的聖言碰觸我,就能讓我從奴役中獲得釋放。

2月1日   軟弱裡同心 
喜樂藏於慈憐心。慈憐(compassion)的字面意見是“同受苦”。與他人一同受苦,看起來並不能給人喜樂。然而與痛苦的人共處,默默陪伴絕望的人、分擔朋友的困惑與迷茫……這樣的經歷帶給我們極深的喜樂。不是快活,不是興奮,不是大得滿足。是陪這一個人的安然喜樂,在這個人類大家庭,與我們的兄弟姐妹攜手同心活著,也就是軟弱中同心、破碎中同心、傷痕中同心。這麼做卻引領我們到喜樂的中心,那就是以仁心彼此相待。~ 盧雲神父
