讀經一（天主要領那些死於耶穌內的人同他一起復活。）

恭讀聖保祿宗徒致得撒洛尼人前書　4:13-18

弟兄們：關於亡者，我們不願意你們不知道，以免你們憂傷，像其他沒有望德的人一樣。因為我們若是信耶穌死了，也復活了，同樣也必信天主要領那些死於耶穌內的人同他一起來。我們照主的話告訴你們這件事：我們這些活著、存留到主來臨時的人，決不會在已死的人以前。因為在發命時，在總領天使吶喊和天主的號聲響時，主要親自由天降來，那些死於基督內的人先要復活，然後我們這些活著還存留的人，同時與他們一起要被提到雲彩上，到空中迎接主：這樣，我們就時常同主在一起。為此，你們要常用這些話彼此安慰。——上主的話。

答唱詠　詠96:1,3,4-5,11-12,13

【答】：上主已駕臨，統治大地乾坤。

領：請眾齊向上主歌唱新歌，普世大地，請向上主謳歌！請在列邦中，傳述他的光榮，請在萬民中，宣揚他的奇功。【答】

領：因為上主偉大，應受讚美，惟他超越眾神，可敬可畏。萬邦的眾神盡屬虛幻，但上主卻造成了蒼天。【答】

那時候，耶穌來到了納匝肋，自己曾受教養的地方；按他的習慣，就在安息日那天進了會堂，並站起來要誦讀。有人把依撒意亞先知書遞給他；他遂展開書卷，找到了一處，上邊寫說：「上主的神臨於我身上，因為他給我傅了油，派遣我向貧窮人傳報喜訊，向俘虜宣告釋放，向盲者宣告復明，使受壓迫者獲得自由，宣佈上主恩慈之年。」他把書卷捲起來，交給侍役，就坐下了。會堂內眾人的眼睛都注視著他。他便開始對他們說：「你們剛才聽過的這段聖經，今天應驗了。」眾人都稱讚他，驚奇他口中所說的動聽的話。並且說：「這不是若瑟的兒子嗎？」他回答他們說：「你們必定要對我說這句俗話：醫生，醫治你自己吧！我們聽說你在葛法翁所行的一切，也在你的家鄉這裏行吧！」他又說：「我實在告訴你們：沒有一個先知在本鄉受悅納的。我據實告訴你們：在厄里亞時代，天閉塞了三年零六個月，遍地起了大饑荒，在以色列原有許多寡婦，厄里亞並沒有被派到她們中一個那裏去，而只到了漆冬匝爾法特的一個寡婦那裏。在厄里叟先知時代，在以色列有許多癩病人。他們中沒有一個得潔淨的，只有敘利亞的納阿曼。」在會堂中聽見這話的人，都忿怒填胸，起來把他趕出城外，領他到了山崖上——他們的城是建在山上的——要把他推下去。他卻由他們中間過去走了。——上主的話。

First reading 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

We want you to be quite certain, brothers, about those who have died, to make sure that you do not grieve about them, like the other people who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that it will be the same for those who have died in Jesus: God will bring them with him. We can tell you this from the Lord’s own teaching, that any of us who are left alive until the Lord’s coming will not have any advantage over those who have died. At the trumpet of God, the voice of the archangel will call out the command and the Lord himself will come down from heaven; those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise, and then those of us who are still alive will be taken up in the clouds, together with them; to meet the Lord in the air. So we shall stay with the Lord for ever. With such thoughts as these you should comfort one another.

Responsorial Psalm Psalm 95(96):1,3-5,11-13

The Lord comes to rule the earth. O sing a new song to the Lord, sing to the Lord all the earth. Tell among the nations his glory and his wonders among all the peoples. The Lord comes to rule the earth. The Lord is great and worthy of praise, to be feared above all gods; the gods of the heathens are naught. It was the Lord who made the heavens, The Lord comes to rule the earth. Gospel Luke 4:16-30

Jesus came to Nazara, where he had been brought up, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day as he usually did. He stood up to read and they handed him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. Unrolling the scroll he found the place where it is written: The spirit of the Lord has been given to me, for he has anointed me. He has sent me to bring the good news to the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives and to the blind new sight, to set the downtrodden free, to proclaim the Lord’s year of favour. He then rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the assistant and sat down. And all eyes in the synagogue were fixed on him. Then he began to speak to them, ‘This text is being fulfilled today even as you listen.’ And he won the approval of all, and they were astonished by the gracious words that came from his lips. They said, ‘This is Joseph’s son, surely?’ But he replied, ‘No doubt you will quote me the saying, “Physician, heal yourself” and tell me, “We have heard all that happened in Capernaum, do the same here in your own countryside.”’ And he went on, ‘I tell you solemnly, no prophet is ever accepted in his own country. ‘There were many widows in Israel, I can assure you, in Elijah’s day, when heaven remained shut for three years and six months and a great famine raged throughout the land, but Elijah was not sent to any one of these: he was sent to a widow at Zarephath, a Sidonian town. And in the prophet Elisha’s time there were many lepers in Israel, but none of these was cured, except the Syrian, Naaman.’ When they heard this everyone in the synagogue was enraged. They sprang to their feet and hustled him out of the town; and they took him up to the brow of the hill their town was built on, intending to throw him down the cliff, but he slipped through the crowd and walked away.

聖巴馬却是羅馬的參議員。三八五年，娶聖婦寶勒的次女寶利納為妻。

日維寧散播異端，妄稱一切罪惡是相等的，無大小之分。聖巴馬却向教宗聖西利息和聖熱羅尼莫檢舉這異端。熱羅尼莫寫了一篇很長的論文，予以駁斥。羅馬教務會議宣布日維寧的學說是異端。

三九七年，聖巴馬却的妻子逝世，聖保林寫信慰問他道：「你的妻子現在天國為你祈求，她給你獲得天主的降福。你不要只用眼淚悲悼她，你也應當為了她的原故，稱極地修德行善。你的德行對於她是一種光榮。」聖熱羅尼莫也寫了一封內容相同的信給巴馬却。

巴馬却致力研究聖教學術，勤行善事。他和聖法比拉二人在包多建造招待所，招待到羅馬去的朝聖教友。巴馬却和法比拉親自招待賓客，這個招待所的遺址最近被考古學家發現。

巴馬却的妻子寶利納生前最喜愛作善舉。熱羅尼莫曾說：貧苦無依的人、殘疾的人都是她的繼承人。巴馬却依效妻子的善表，熱心救濟窮人，每天出去，街上常有一大群窮人隨著他走；他總是有求必應，沒有一個空手回去。

巴馬却對聖熱羅尼莫的著作，給予很大的幫助。他寫信給諾米田居民，勸他們放棄陶納異端，重返教會，巴馬却在自己家裡造了一所小堂，耶穌苦難會在這小堂的遺址造了一所聖堂。

巴馬却於四一Ｏ年逝世。

聆聽聖言

釋經小幫手

福音一開始耶穌就告訴我們祂的使命：「上主的神臨於我身上，因為衪給我傅了油，派遣我向貧窮人傳報喜訊」。我們每一位也領受了一份使命。我們擁有「生命」，也擁有「信仰」，不只是為了自己的好處，而是被派遣去與他人分享這珍貴的禮物。很多時候，唯一阻擋我們活出自己的使命是我們對自己缺乏信心。我們渴望生命的圓滿，但答案不在於提升生活的品質，而是提升自己與天主連結的品質。這樣，使命不會變成負擔，而是喜樂的來源。使命的根本就是聖神與人朋友般的合作。耶穌很清楚使命雖是為主「做」事，但它源自於被聖神傅油、被祂扶助、肯定、給予內涵和德行。如今許多教友不願意參與教會的使命，或是在參與教會使命過程中只靠自己的理想建立天主的國，但卻因爲遇到人性及教會的軟弱和不完美而感到受傷、幻滅、懷疑。但是，他們卻忘了教會不是靠人建立的，相反的，教會是被聖神推動，而人要學的就是去熟悉聖神的動力和配合祂。教宗方濟各說：「對看不見的事仍要信賴，這會讓我們感到迷失方向……然而，沒有比全心托賴聖神的指引能給予更大的釋放，放下規劃以及掌握一切細節的控制慾，而依從聖神的啓發、引領和指導，讓祂帶我們到祂願意的任何地方。聖神清楚知道何時何地我們需要甚麼。這就是奧祕豐產的意義!」今天你呼求聖神來引導你了嗎？

品嚐聖言

「上主的神臨於我身上。」聖神就在你身邊，你有什麽事請教祂嗎？

活出聖言

在做每一個決定或判斷前，花點時間祈禱，讓聖神陪伴你冷靜分辨。

全心祈禱

聖神，求祢賜給我恩寵，使我能夠時時意識到你的指引和推動。

8月30日   選擇生命 
天主說：“我今天指著天地向你們作證：我已將生命與死亡，祝福與詛咒，都擺在你面前；你要揀選生命，為叫你和你的後裔得以生存；”（申30：19） 
“揀選生命”是天主對我們的呼召，也是我們無時無刻都要作的選擇。生與死恒常陳列在我們眼前：在我們的想像、思緒、言詞、手勢、行動……甚至沒有任何動作之時。選擇生命開始於內心極深的一處。在每一個肯定生命價值的行為底下，我裡面可能還殘留著死亡的念頭與感受。最重要的問題不是“我殺人嗎？”而是“我的心能夠祝福還是詛咒？”要人命的子彈只不過是仇恨的最終工具，早在舉槍之前，仇恨已經由心而生了。~ 盧雲神父
