讀經一（你為我的原故，嫉妒人麼？巴不得上主的人民，都成為先知。）

恭讀戶籍紀　11:25-29

那時候，上主乘雲降下，與梅瑟談話，將他身上的神能，賦予那七十位長老。這神能一降在他們身上，他們就出神說話；以後再沒有出神。

當時，有兩個人留在營內，一個名叫厄耳達得，一個名叫默達得；這神能也降在他們身上；他們原來也是被錄取的，但沒有到會幕那裡去，就在營內，出神說話。

有一少年跑來，告訴梅瑟說：「厄耳達得和默達得，在營內，出神說話。」自幼服事梅瑟的農的兒子若蘇厄，於是說：「我主梅瑟！你該禁止他們。」

梅瑟回答他說：「你為我的原故，嫉妒人麼？巴不得上主的人民，都成為先知；但願上主將自己的精神，傾注在他們身上！」——上主的話。

答唱詠　詠19:8, 10, 12-13, 14

【答】：上主的規誡是正直的，能悅樂心情。（詠19:9）

領：上主的法律是完善的，能暢快人靈；上主的約章是忠誠的，能開啟愚蒙。【答】

領：上主的訓誨是純潔的，永遠常存；上主的判斷是真實的，無不公允。【答】

領：你僕人雖留心這一切，竭盡全力遵守這一切，但誰能認出自己的一切過犯？求你赦免我未覺察到的罪愆。【答】

領：求你使你僕人免於自負，求你不要讓驕傲佔有我；如此，我將邁向完善，不受重大罪惡的玷污。【答】

讀經二（你們的財產腐爛了。）

恭讀聖雅各伯書　5:1-6

你們富有的人啊，現在哭泣哀號吧！因為你們的災難快到了。你們的財產，腐爛了；你們的衣服，被蛀蟲吃了；你們的金銀，生了銹，這銹要作控告你們的證據，也要像火一樣，吞食你們的肉。你們竟為末日，積蓄了財寶！

看，工人們收割了你們的莊田，你們卻扣留他們的工資；這工資喊冤，收割工人的呼聲，已進入了萬軍上主的耳朵裡。你們在世上奢華宴樂，養肥了你們的心，等候宰殺的日子。你們定了義人的罪，殺害了他；他卻沒有抵抗你們。——上主的話。

福音前歡呼

領：亞肋路亞。

眾：亞肋路亞。

領：主，你的話就是真理，求你以真理祝聖我們。（參閱若17:17）

眾：亞肋路亞。

福音（誰不反對我們，就是傾向我們。倘若你的手使你跌倒，砍掉它！）

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　9:38-43, 45, 47-48

那時候，若望向耶穌說：「師父！我們見過一個人，他因你的名字驅魔；我們禁止了他，因為他不跟從我們。」

耶穌說：「不要禁止他，因為沒有一個人，以我的名字行了奇蹟，就會立即誹謗我，因為誰不反對我們，就是傾向我們。

「誰如果因你們屬於基督，而給你們一杯水喝，我實在告訴你們：他決不會失掉他的賞報。

「誰如果使這些信者中的一個小子跌倒，倒不如拿一塊驢拉的磨石，套在他的頸項，投到海裡，為他更好。

「倘若你的手使你跌倒，砍掉它！你殘廢進入生命，比有兩隻手，而下地獄，到那不滅的火裡去更好。倘若你的腳使你跌倒，砍掉它！你瘸腿進入生命，比有雙腳，而被投入地獄裡更好。倘若你的眼使你跌倒，剜出它來！你一隻眼進入天主的國，比有兩隻眼，而被投入地獄裡更好；那裡的蟲不死，火也不滅。」——上主的話。

反省

今日的讀經一、福音的前半部，都教訓我們待人要寬容；福音的後半部則強調律己要嚴。我們先了解讀經一的背景，當時的以色列人沒有感謝天主賜予他們的自由，反而埋怨天主沒有為他們預備足夠的食物。身在福中不知福，他們的愚昧讓天主很不高興，梅瑟心裡也很不舒服。雖然他沒有埋怨天主，卻自怨自艾，自覺背負以色列人的責任太沉重。天主體恤他的軟弱，安排其他人來分擔他的工作，吩咐梅瑟由以色列長老中召選七十人到會幕去，將他身上的神能，賦予他們，叫他們分擔梅瑟管理人民的重擔。

其中有兩人沒有到會幕，天主的神仍降在他們身上，他們也出神說話。若蘇厄關心的是維護梅瑟的權威，就請梅瑟禁止兩人說預言；梅瑟關心的卻是天主的計畫：「你為我的原故，嫉妒人麼？巴不得上主的人民，都成為先知；但願上主將自己的精神，傾注在他們身上！」這番話反映梅瑟的心胸擴大了，他明白到自己所有和所做的實在微不足道，天主可以裝備和使用任何人來完成祂的旨意。梅瑟不再自憐，也不再注意個人的利害得失，反而樂意人人都成為天主得心應手的工具。

福音延續上主日的教導，強調門徒要謙卑，而不是把自己當作權威。若望向耶穌表示，他們發現有人用耶穌的名字驅魔，因這人不是門徒的一份子，就禁止他。耶穌卻說，「不要禁止他，因為沒有一個人，以我的名字行了奇蹟，就會立即誹謗我」。耶穌教導門徒要有寬廣的心胸，因為天主的心意很寬廣，普天下所有因耶穌的名字聚會、服務的人，都是弟兄姊妹，應彼此接納、互相成全。

實踐

今天的讀經教導我們寬容的必要。我們原是罪人，蒙恩成為天主的子女，領受永生，進入天國，都是天主賜予的恩寵。因此，不可自誇，更不可據為己有。耶穌願意我們「寬以待人，嚴以律己」，還要在別人的需要上看到自己的責任，千萬不可絆倒別人，這才是基督徒應有的心態。

First reading Numbers 11:25-29

The Lord came down in the Cloud. He spoke with Moses, but took some of the spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. When the spirit came on them they prophesied, but not again. Two men had stayed back in the camp; one was called Eldad and the other Medad. The spirit came down on them; though they had not gone to the Tent, their names were enrolled among the rest. These began to prophesy in the camp. The young man ran to tell this to Moses, ‘Look,’ he said ‘Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.’ Then said Joshua the son of Nun, who had served Moses from his youth, ‘My Lord Moses, stop them!’ Moses answered him, ‘Are you jealous on my account? If only the whole people of the Lord were prophets, and the Lord gave his Spirit to them all!’

Responsorial Psalm Psalm 18(19):8,10,12-14

The precepts of the Lord gladden the heart. The law of the Lord is perfect, it revives the soul. The rule of the Lord is to be trusted, it gives wisdom to the simple.

Second reading James 5:1-6

An answer for the rich. Start crying, weep for the miseries that are coming to you. Your wealth is all rotting, your clothes are all eaten up by moths. All your gold and your silver are corroding away, and the same corrosion will be your own sentence, and eat into your body. It was a burning fire that you stored up as your treasure for the last days. Labourers mowed your fields, and you cheated them – listen to the wages that you kept back, calling out; realise that the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. On earth you have had a life of comfort and luxury; in the time of slaughter you went on eating to your heart’s content. It was you who condemned the innocent and killed them; they offered you no resistance.

Gospel Mark 9:38-43,45,47-48

John said to Jesus, ‘Master, we saw a man who is not one of us casting out devils in your name; and because he was not one of us we tried to stop him.’ But Jesus said, ‘You must not stop him: no one who works a miracle in my name is likely to speak evil of me. Anyone who is not against us is for us. ‘If anyone gives you a cup of water to drink just because you belong to Christ, then I tell you solemnly, he will most certainly not lose his reward. ‘But anyone who is an obstacle to bring down one of these little ones who have faith, would be better thrown into the sea with a great millstone round his neck. And if your hand should cause you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life crippled, than to have two hands and go to hell, into the fire that cannot be put out. And if your foot should cause you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life lame, than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. And if your eye should cause you to sin, tear it out; it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell where their worm does not die nor their fire go out.’

聆聽聖言

那時候，若望向耶穌說：「師傅！我們見過一個人，他因祢的名字驅魔，我們禁止了他，因為他不跟從我們。」
耶穌說：「不要禁止他，因為沒有任何人，以我的名字行了奇跡，就會立即誹謗我的，因為誰不反對我們，就是傾向我們。
誰若因你們屬於基督，而給你們一杯水喝，我實在告訴你們：他決不會失掉他的賞報。
誰若使這些信者中的一個小子跌倒，倒不如拿一塊驢拉的磨石，套在他的脖子上，投在海裏，為他更好。
倘若你的手使你跌倒，砍掉它！倘若你的腳使你跌倒，砍掉它！倘若你的眼使你跌倒，剜出它來！你一隻眼進入天主的國，比有兩隻眼被投入地獄裏更好，那裏的蟲子不死，火也不滅。」

釋經小幫手

今天耶穌説話的語氣非常嚴厲。試著去感受一下，你對耶穌嚴厲的話語有哪些反應？是想反駁、想忽略、還是想去解釋、舒緩這話語的力度？俗話說：忠言逆耳。多時我們排斥嚴厲的話語，是因爲說中自己的弱點，或是過去的舊經驗被挑起。然而，你是否能夠聽到話語背後的愛，以及它所要維護的生命嗎？在今天的福音中，耶穌說：「誰若使這些信者中的一個小子跌倒，倒不如拿一塊驢拉的磨石，套在他的脖子上，投在海裏，為他更好。」耶穌關愛的是那些軟弱且無法保護自己的人。他們可能年幼，在各方面缺乏經驗和智慧，因此容易被人影響。因此，身爲基督徒的我們必須做好榜樣，不要讓這些人因爲單純無知，效法我們的壞榜樣而掉入陷阱中。有時候對於各種誘惑，如：說閒話、貪小便宜、消費主義、甚至各種嗜好我們會不以爲然，我們會説：「哎呀，沒關係啦，只是一點點而已，反正人人都這樣做！」但耶穌說：「倘若你的眼使你跌倒，剜出它來！你一隻眼進入天主的國，比有兩隻眼被投入地獄裏更好。」對耶穌來説，基督徒的標準不能只是和一般人一樣，而是要照顧到他人的永生。若我們的行為舉止會混淆他人，讓其他人跟著跌倒、遠離天主，那麼我們就不配進入天國了。

品嚐聖言

「砍掉它！」默想耶穌因太在乎永生而要求我們砍掉罪惡的根。

活出聖言

誠實承認自己有哪些行為動機會讓你遠離天主，也讓他人遠離天主。

全心祈禱

主啊！求祢增強我們的信德，並幫助我們能遠離誘惑。阿們。

9月26日   洗禮：通過儀式 
洗禮是“通過儀式”(rite of passage)，猶太人離開埃及地，穿過紅海到應許地。耶穌也要讓洗禮成為脫離死亡與痛苦，進入天父家中的通路。祂問過門徒，如今又問我們：“你們能受我受的洗嗎？”（路10：38）因此保祿宗徒論及洗禮，稱之為歸入基督的死。 
受洗就是與以色列人一樣，從奴役到自由；與耶穌一樣，從死亡到新生。這是決意活在耶穌裡的生命。~ 盧雲神父
